Blue Living Spaces

The living room color scheme of our new home has finally been decided - a palette of blue and gray. In making this decision, our starting point was the tin ceiling, which is unfinished so it's a bright silver color. Our sofa is a large sectional which will be upholstered in a herringbone microfiber, charcoal gray in color. We are now trying to decide on a paint color, which will be some shade of blue. Thoughts?? Some ideas/inspiration:

    Aw yes! Beautiful choice. Dusty blue and charcoaley grey. Divine.
    I would definately take notice of some of these living rooms' accessories which are in brighter shades of blue. Adds a bit of sparkling colour into the pallette.

    Wow! Such a cool choice! My only advice is to keep the colors rich and add some small bright accents so that the blue and gray doesn't bring the space into drab-town. The tin ceiling sounds so cool!! You must be having so much fun picking out all of this decor!

    The dark blue is calling my name! I'm just not sure if it would make the room look smaller/heavier since its so dark...but I love light turquoise too ;-)

    I prefer a Wedgwood blue. It's a blue grey tone. Then next in line is a sky blue like your first picture. I tried deep dark once and ended up changing it. It looks so beautiful in the magazines, but too depressing in real life after a few months.

    joanna, we had a color in our last bedroom that was gorgeous, a soft porcelain blue, called krypton from sherwin williams. i highly recommend it. any other color looks good with it.
