We just returned from a week-long road trip that started in Miami, FL and continued down the Florida Keys to Key West, the southern most point of the continental U.S. Our stops included Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine Key and Key West. The Keys Fisheries Market & Marina in Marathon has an understated dockside
restaurant serving fresh local seafood. The catch of the day fish tacos and sweet potato
waffle fries with marshmallow dipping sauce are a must try.
It's no surprise that the beach at Bahia Honda State Park in Big Pine Key was voted
one of the most beautiful U.S. Beaches in 2012. You can stop off for a short walk,
tour the butterfly garden, stay the day, or reserve a cabin or campsite for an overnight visit.

Casa Marina, a Waldorf Astoria resort in Key West, was conceived by
American railroad tycoon Henry Flager. The grand opening dates back
to New Years Eve of 1920. It has since been updated and expanded
to a full service modern resort.
