Renovation Update - Bathroom

A few weeks ago I blogged about the clawfoot tub we are restoring in our new home. Thanks so much to everyone for providing ideas, suggestions and opinions as to whether we should paint the outside of the tub a color or keep it white. Our final decision was to paint the outside body of the tub the same color as the walls - a warm gray, while painting the feet of the tub white. The bathroom isn't finished yet, but here is a photo of the freshly painted tub against the new tiles and exposed brick wall. We are so happy with how it's coming along! More photos to follow soon!

  1. I am sure it will be fabulous, love that brick wall- will you be leaving it that color? Such neat texture.

  3. I really like the grey on the tub! Beautiful! Can't wait to see the completed bathroom renovation! It is a lot of work, but so worth it in the end. We renovated our current bathroom twice before settling on what we really wanted - urgh! :)

  9. Oh, it looks beautiful! I would love to have a tub like that! My only reservation is that it's tough to clean the floor underneath... I've been there! :)

  11. Thanks everyone!

Lemondrop: We will be keeping the brick exposed. It was originally covered, so it took quite some time to scrape it down and clean it.

Anhesty: We used regular paint for the outside of the tub (same color as on the wall, which I will share soon in new photos).
